Shelter

Shelter explores the notion of protection as a primordial, almost instinctive condition between human and nature. A child figure and a cow are depicted in a state of sleep, sharing a relationship of absolute closeness and mutual surrender within a space of rest.

The figures are embedded in an environment that operates simultaneously as boundary and protective field, forming a sense of an enclosed, interior world. The composition balances care and vulnerability, where “shelter” does not emerge as an architectural structure, but as an emotional and bodily coexistence.

Close-up

This detail focuses on the ground where the figures rest, revealing the surface as an active component of the composition. The wheat emerges through dense, impasto-like gestures, creating a sense of material concentration and internal tension.
